At the Child Development Center

Our boy is diagnosed with 'speech delay' thus he is referred to the CDC. There, we had some interview sessions with the pediatrician regarding our boy's development. At first, he was suspected to be autistic as he still couldn't make up long sentences in his speeches as he is approaching 4 this coming 15th August. However, since his behaviours do not match with the symptoms of an autistic child....so after several observations, the doctor confirm with us that he is only having the speech delay. He will be seeing the speech therapist somewhere around next month.

Above ~ While waiting for the pediatrician's call, we let Habibi play with the educational toys there.

Below ~ Habibi was being instructed by the pediatrician...and thank goodness...he did his job well. We were/are proud of him..

Firstly, the pediatrician instructed Habibi to follow her steps in making a 'bridge' (alphabet blocks) so that a 'train' (pencil) can pass through. She demonstrated the steps at first of course.

Then, it was Habibi's turn to build the 'bridge'....

Amazingly he could do it well...*clap clap clap*

Then he was asked to write numbers and shapes. The numbers he could write freely were only 1 and 0. But he managed to draw circles, squares and rectangles. The way he hold the pencil has now been improved.

Then he was instructed to show the recited numbers and colours. Again, he made us happy as he got all the numbers and colours correct.
Currently, Habibi can recite numbers from 1 - 10 but not in clear pronunciation yet. He could sing most of the children's song. He is now keen to do his homework on his own. He loves painting more than colouring with the pencil colours. I will post some of his paintings the soonest...

Facilitating a Math Workshop

Nowadays, a teacher does not merely teaches the pupils but she/he has to be multi-tasked. This is my career that keeps me busy. I am selected to facilitate workshops for the primary mathematics teachers. This happened last Monday...facilitating the PNI-INSET Workshop on Mathematical Thinking and Problem-Solving.

Actually I like to move around. Purposely wearing pink so that I would be more confident during the workshop...*winks*

The participants were very eager to try out the hands-on activity...One of the cooperative teachers....sharing and presenting the group's work....

These are my cute and adorable koalas and a kiwi given as souvenirs. I love see them clinging tightly together onto my car's rear-view mirror. They become my devoted company during my ride as long as they do not hinder my view for a safe journey (*;^)

But not this one below ....
This is Habibati's project..she likes to put on stickers on my car's doors which I don't really prefer. But now...I have taken off all these stickers since she has her own sticker book and she forgets about her car project already! *LOL*

Habibi and his Orange Slices

He loves oranges. He would ask me to cut it into slices so that he can lick the juice. He even likes to lick the juice of the cut sour lime. I have to provide him with these citruses because he rejects the multi-vitamin and the Scott's emulsion *even the orange flavour one*.

Our little girl now....

Our girl is now loving all the 'girlie' thingies....she loves being beautiful....
...........there is a time when I am all alone thinking of her.......
I wish that she could stay how she is now.....still a baby to me......stays the same......never grow up.......because I would love to carry, hug and kiss her still.....but these are beyond my abilities right. She grows up very fast....anyway.....my dearest heart and soul...Ummi will always love you for what you are.....will always there for you for the rest of my life...

The foodie packs for school

We often ask the kids what they would like to have during their break time at school. This is just to ensure that they eat whatever we prepared earlier every morning. Then as usual, after school, I will always check their food packs if there are any leftovers inside.

I was surprised!! The number of the chocolate biscuits was still the same. I asked Habibati why didn't she eat the biscuits. Without feeling any guilt...she said she did bite the biscuits........plus....she said she loved the chocolate. I had a closer look at the biscuits and found out......
....that she ONLY ate the chocolate fillings! *felt like fainting*
Furthermore....the plain water level was only decreasing a little (*.*). For me, this is rather worrying. Now we are replacing the plain water with Milo plus her formula milk. For Habibi....he still demands the bottled formula milk to be brought to school. Do you face the same experience?

Sports Day at School...

The kids were having their sports day last Saturday. Parents were invited too. Our kids were very excited and just couldn't wait to wake up as early as they could *same with Ummi & Ayah* (^;*)

Our girl was so eager to move her body along with the rhythms of the dance music and now what happened to Habibi.....? *LOL*

He didn't want to do the exercise but watched Ayah who was busy snapping pictures of them...Now...? I laughed seeing the above picture of Habibi.....almost everyone was facing to the instructor but not our hero! *giggles*

This was the match Habibi took up...putting the small balls into his box 'cart'.

Habibi was not that fast but he managed to put in as many balls as he could. Our girl took up in the running match which required her to put on the Hawaiian skirt and a head gear.

Our little Hawaiian little girl. They did not win the matches but we were proud of them and appreciated their efforts. Go! Go! Habibati and Habibi!

The JollyBee Time

We love JollyBee as much as the kids do. While the kids were having fun in the play area, Hubby and I savoured these yummylicious double treat sets.
For me, the Jolly spaghetti is the bestEST in town...*slurppp*
They would come to the table to get some foodies and got back playing. However, I just couldn't stop instructing them to bite their foodies well in their mouths. I was worried if they got choked while playing *nauzubillah*

They were considered 'lucky' as no kids were around and our kids dominated the play area like the King and Queen.
Just for a proof...our kids were the only 'dominators' here (';^)
...only two compartments were occupied...!
So sweaty...but...still wanted to continue playing...as if nothing else mattered..
Now what....? *giggle*
Look at Habibi...he cried as loud as he could when we didn't allow him to play bowling which was just outside Jollybee restaurant. No matter how hard we tried to console him by saying the bowling area was only for the adults but nothing seemed to work out. But then, the manager came up and solved everything out by just presenting our kids some Jollybee kiddie party packs.

Instantly, Habibi stopped crying *phew* and started to focus on all these goodies inside the packs. Thank you Miss and the other Jollybee staff!

My French Toast

I love French Toasts so much....and this is my version....

Thick-sized bread slices
2 Eggs
Fresh milk
Honey

Mix together the eggs and milk. Then, soak the bread slice into the mixture. Heat up butter onto a non-stick pan and fry the bread until it turns golden. Then pour some honey onto the bread slice...and enjoy!

So easy to make...but still I love to share this with you...(';*)
