Figs / Buah Tiin

I love these holy fruits.....Tiin or also known as Figs....

These are the figs that are locally grown here...given by my friend recently. It is very hard to find such fruits freshly sold in the supermarkets, I could only find the imported sun-dried ones. They are best eaten when chilled....I usually eat it by peeling the skin and eat the flesh together with the multiple seeds inside..(*_*)..

The name of this fruit is also stated in Surah At-Tiin the holy Quran....

Eating these luscious figs can bring many HEALTH BENEFITS to us. I love their sweet and fragrant smell as well as their luscious heavenly!

Asam Pedas Batang Keladi (Nur's Recipe)

This is how it looked. Purposely, I did not put much chili paste as I could not take too much chili...(^.^)...but I added some thinly sliced turmeric leaves into the gravy. I love the exotic taste of this dish.

Thank you very much Nur.....
The recipe can be browsed at her informative blog....
All the best!

Note: Batang keladi => Yam shoots

My Homemade Apple Pastry Pies

Although they turned out looking like beef /chicken puff pastry but they tasted very wonderfully yummy...(",")...

My simple way of making the filling of these pies (4 pies)

Butter (about 1 inch)
2 apples (I was using the pink Royal Gala)
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon powder
2 teaspoons corn flour(diluted in water)
Instant pastries

1- Heat the butter and pop in the sliced apples
2-When the apple slices are soft, add in the brown sugar and cinnamon powder.
3- Lastly the cornflour, to make the filling thicker.

I baked the pies at 200-210 degrees in the oven.....until they turned golden brown.

~All the Best~
