no such thing as celebrating one's and other's birthdays in Islam.
if the noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam never celebrated his birthday why should an insignificant ordinary living thing want to celebrate his own birthday?
celebrating birthdays is a bid'a or innovation, and an innovation is that little thing that ignorant fools do which will always in the end be rejected. why do a bid'a act when it won't be accepted? ;)
